1000 Studios
1000 Studios seeks to enable independent film by creating 1000+ miniature movie studios in communities around the US. Each studio will provide filmmaking equipment, software and filming locations for budding filmmakers. By working hand in hand with community centers, colleges, public libraries and other non-profit locations, 1000 Studios will be able to provide a diverse set of filming locations.
Each studio is designed to provide everything needed to create shorts, feature films and even series by using chroma key effects. Modern films and tv series such as 300, Alice In Wonderland, Sanctuary, Sin City, Sky Captain and Speed Racer have all been filmed almost entirely using blue-screen and green-screen techniques.
1000 Studios will also create a community portal for reserving filming time and to help locate other budding artists to collaborate with. The portal will also serve to organize collection points for disused filmmaking equipment. Old camera, tripods or whatever can be put back into service and then loaned out to aspiring filmmakers.
